There is no universal upload specification
Read the application instructions for the exact recruitment and cycle. An exam portal may change a pixel range, file-size ceiling, accepted format, photograph age, live-photo capture or signature requirement. Rules may even differ between the registration and correction stages.
| Authority | Start here | Verify in the current notice |
|---|---|---|
| SSC | ssc.gov.in | Photograph capture / upload route, signature, dimensions and file limits |
| UPSC | upsc.gov.in | Exam-specific application instructions and acceptable image formats |
| RRB | rrbapply.gov.in | Recruitment CEN, live-photo or image steps and signature rules |
| IBPS | ibps.in | Exam-specific photo, signature, thumb impression and declaration fields |
Before uploading
- Download the latest instructions from the exam's official notice.
- Check image dimensions, file size, format, background and cropping separately.
- Keep the original image and avoid stretching text or signatures out of proportion.
- Use the exact declaration text if one is prescribed; do not copy a sample blindly.
- Preview all uploads in the portal before final submission and save the acknowledgement.
Local resizing
The browser photo resizer can change pixel dimensions locally; your image is not uploaded to this website. Example presets (200×230, 140×60 and 800×400) are not official specifications. Confirm the current notice and file size after resizing.
